This is the next lab in the series where we take a look at auto-scaling to EC2 Spot instances. On Azure we don’t have an equivalent of Spot Instances.
I recorded this lab so that others might experience it in a more passive way if they so chose. This video is a straight shot with no editing whatsoever so you’ll get all my hims and haws.
This lab will demonstrate how to:
- Setup auto-scaling to launch Spot Instances when the Spot price is low.
- Incorporate CloudWatch metrics to monitor your instances
- Scale down and terminate your Spot Instances when computational work has run for a specified period of time.
