I recently setup Lync for Mac and tried to get it working with Office 365. Epic fail. Luckily this was easily remedied by a couple well place bing searches.
Unfortunately for non-expert users this would be a huge cliff for them to fall off. I hope the Mac team at Microsoft Office gets this fixed soon and by fixed I mean make it brain dead simple, as it should be! As an Office 365 customer, my expectation would be to not need an “IT guy”. Bugs in the UX like this derail that value proposition.
